1 | USA - Shanghai Your journey begins with an overnight flight to Shanghai, once considered the “Paris of the East.” |
2 | Shanghai Arrive in Shanghai and transfer to your deluxe hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. |
3 | This morning, visit the Bund, the famous riverfront promenade lined with grand historic buildings from the city’s colonial past. Tour the Old Town with its winding alleyways, lined with shops, tea houses and restaurants. Explore the elegant and tranquil Yu Yuan Gardens, an example of garden architecture from the Ming dynasty. Lastly, you will visit the Shanghai Museum of Art and History, which ranks among the great museums of the world. |
4 | You will be transferred by the coach to Hanghzou, "Paradise on Earth," where you will cruise the famous West Lake, taste the well-known Longjing Tea, and treat yourself to the gorgeous scenic spots around the lake; see the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, and the Fish Wonder at Huagang Crook. Stay overnight in Hangzhou. |
5 | After breakfast, enjoy a whole day tour of the city, whose scenery has been the source of inspiration for countless poets and painters. You will also visit Ling Yin Monastery, Six Harmony Tower, and Yue Fei Tomb. |
6 | This morning, depart Hanghzou for a scenic drive to Tongli. A charming town, Tongli boasts a picturesque collection of ancient bridges crisscrossing meandering rivers. This is the China of picture books, complete with narrow streets, simple and elegant homes, teahouses, and intriguing shops. Visit the market and mingle with the locals. After lunch, continue by boat to Suzhou via the Grand Canal, built in 610 A.D. |
| 7 | Suzhou - Wuxi Today, visit “the Venice of China”—Suzhou. A sightseeing of the Hanshan Temple, Tiger Hill, Garden of Master of Nets and the silk Embroidery Research Institute will take place. Continue to travel to Wuxi. Check in the hotel. |
| 8 | Wuxi - Nanjing Visit Tai Lake, the third largest lake in China and subject of many poems. Then, visit Xihui Park. In the afternoon, you will take a bus ride to Nanjing. The capital of Jiangsu province, Nanjing was the capital city for six dynasties in Chinese history. Stay overnight. |
