1 | USA - Beijing Beginning our exciting China adventure by boarding an international flight bound for Beijing. Spend the night aboard as we cross the international date line. |
2 | Arrive Beijing Evening arrival at Beijing, China's historic capital city. We are met by our guide and transferred to our hotel accommodation. |
3 | Today we visit Tiananmen Square, better known as "Gate of Heavenly Peace". Continue on to the Forbidden City, home of the emperors. In the past, commoners were not allowed to step foot inside the Forbidden City. Today, we retrace the steps of past "Sons of Heaven" Our full day tour also includes a visit to the emperors' Summer Palace, a place of rest and recreation for the royal families as far back as a thousand years ago. |
4 | A full day city tour includes a visit to the Great Wall of China. Standing atop the Wall and gazing upon its majesty, we agree that it is indeed one of the seven greatest man-made wonders of the world. Descend in the afternoon to visit the Ming Tomb Museum. |
5 | Enjoy a full day at leisure. Shop, sightsee, relax or do whatever you would like in Beijing. |
6 | In the morning we visit the Temple of Heaven in Beijing before boarding a short domestic flight to Shanghai, China's bustling center of commerce. Upon our arrival, we take a brief tour including visits to Yu Garden, Nanjing Road and the Bund. |

Spend time strolling the busy streets of Shanghai or perhaps take an optional full-day tour to the Garden City of Suzhou, the "Venice of the East". Suzhou is a city interlaced by canals and is renowned for its high quality silk products. |
8 | Shanghai - U.S.A. Our China vacation is over all too quickly as we board our homebound flight. Bid China a fond farewell as we again cross the international date line to arrive back at home. |
